ONLINE: Kwanzaa Stories with Auntie Beverly

Gather friends and family on the first day of Kwanzaa for stories told by Auntie Beverly. Make an mkeka (mat) with art supplies provided by the Walker Art Center. We'll be celebrating the first Kwanzaa principle: Umoja (unity). Auntie Beverly (Ms. Cottman) has been telling Kwanzaa stories at Sumner Library for many years. She is a member of the Black Storytellers Alliance, an educator, writer and dancer. Everyone is welcome to this live virtual event! Hosted by Sumner Library staff. Collaborator: Walker Art Center.

Kwanzaa Art Kits are available to pick up at Sumner and Hosmer libraries beginning Monday, December 13.

Register at www.hclib.org/events. The Microsoft Teams event link will be emailed in advance to registrants.
