Truth can live in the heart of a fairy tale, horror can help us name the unspeakable, tall tales can make us roar with laughter. Folk and Fiction is dedicated to stories told aloud (ideally without paper) that are not true, personal, or factual. Join us on the fourth Friday of the month from January through June for folktales, fiction, speculative work, and outright lies.
Each evening will include 4-6 eight minute open mic slots followed by a featured performer. Arrive by 6:55 to put your name in the hat to try your luck and do some creative storytelling.
Requested $10+ donation per person. Artists should be paid for their work and the venue deserves their rent. At the Black Forest Inn Festsaal Room, 1 East 26th St. Minneapolis.
