Story Club

  • Bryant Lake Bowl & Theater 810 West Lake Street Minneapolis, MN, 55408 United States (map)

Story Club's season finale features poet Anna K Binkovitz and writer Lindsay DeLand!

Door opens at 6:00; show begins at 7:00.

Tickets on a sliding scale, $6-$12.

Anna Binkovitz is a Minneapolis-based poet. A 2014 honors graduate from Macalester college, her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Muzzle Magazine, the Offing, Words Dance, and elsewhere. Anna spends much of her time bickering with her dog and eating Mac and cheese.

Lindsay got her bachelor's degree in creative writing and still occasionally makes an effort to write something other than fan fiction from time to time. Fiction and memoir, and especially the space where those two genres blur together, are her particular writing passions. Her other passions include, but are not limited to, teaching and learning languages, reading, cartoons and comics, otters, her beautiful cat, and binge-watching the Great British Bake Off.

As always, Story Club features both an open mic segment and a curated selection of stories from invited performers. Our stage showcases stories, like a slam, but with a more welcoming structure - no judges, no scores.

Before each show, the host, whoever it may be, invites audience members to sign up for a raffle for one of four open mic slots. The show itself is the perfect mix of spontaneity with live theater thrills.

Door opens at 6:00 and the show begins at 7:00. Tickets are on a sliding scale between $6 - $12.
